During my final year at De Montfort University I decided to choose Mobile Robotics as one of my optional modules. I felt that would be an interesting topic to cover and develop in. For the coursework piece I was tasked with programming a Pioneer robot to have its own behaviours such as obstacle avoidance, advanced wandering, mapping and edge following. I believe that I achieved all of these things in my robot. I was asked to program this robot using LUA, a language that I had never used before but I am now quite confident in using.
